Xbox One launch games install sizes revealed

After one lucky gamer managed to get his hands on an Xbox One this past weekend (following a shipping error from US retailer Target), and we now have a fairly decent idea of what to expect from next-gen install sizes.

Xbox One launch titles will require between 246 MB and 43 GB of storage space to install; though this isn’t just for digital downloads, all Xbox One titles require installation to the hard drive. At this rate, that 500GB hard drive space won’t last long, so it looks like we will need to start getting into the habit of deleting old games.

For those worried about lengthy install times, users noted over the weekend that discs not only install automatically when inserted into the disc drive, but some are also playable midway through installation. An example given was of Call Of Duty: Ghosts; which was playable after roughly 51% had been installed (the user noted it taking roughly ten minutes before he was then able to play).
